This notice describes information practices for the Live Studius website and programs.
Information we collect
We collect account name, email, hashed password, donation details, messages, preferences, student-project information, and technical data necessary to operate the site. We do not receive complete card numbers from Stripe.
How we use information
We use information to create accounts, process donations, maintain records, administer programs, communicate with you, prevent abuse, and improve accessibility and security. Optional marketing messages require an affirmative choice and include an unsubscribe method.
Sharing and vendors
We share information with service providers such as Stripe, MongoDB hosting, and linked Google or Discord services when needed for the requested function. We do not sell personal information. Public student information requires an appropriate release.
Retention and rights
We retain information only as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal accounting, safety, dispute resolution, or legitimate records. You may request access, correction, deletion, or marketing opt-out by emailing livestudius@gmail.com. We may verify identity and retain information where law requires.
Security and children
We use HTTPS, HttpOnly session cookies, bcrypt password hashing, and hosted payment processing, but no system can be guaranteed secure. The service is not intentionally directed to children under 13; if we learn that a child submitted information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate.
